At the reunion, we asked everyone to write down their most memoable Jamesburg High moment for publication on the web.  Here’s what we got. Spark any memories?  Share them with us: jhs1962@comcast.net

Venera Golino: One of my most vivid memories was of a PJ party at my hourse (about 10-12 girls).  We decided we were hungry late and we left in two cars (my dad was sleeping, my mom out of town) so I borrowed one car and had 5-6 girls with me, and Lucille Marangio had 5-6 girls with her. We went out on Rte 130 to go to Howard Johnson’s.  Going down the highway, in the right lane, they were in front of us and made a sharp left turn across the passing lane in front of a semi.  We all screamed and thought they had been creamed by the truck.  A few seconds later their car continued across the highway leaving the semi up on the center island screaming at us.  We were petrified and thought we had lost our dear friends and classmates.

Donna Chmara.  Miss Casey and Mr Tabler stand out so vividly. Miss Casey encouraged my interest in literature. Mr Tabler encouraged me to continue my education. Today I look upon the difference they made in my life with enormous gratitude.

Carmella Caruso. I remember vividly the pajama parties and the story that Venera told above.  I also remember the regular parties we had an our rides to crematory hill. Does anybody remember the Miss Jamesburg contest? And the winner was... Venera Golino! Miss Jamesburg, 1962? Her talent?  Modeling an ensemble that she made herself. I am most grateful to our guidance counsellor, Mr. Kurowski, who persuaded my father to send me to college.  It was a struggle for me, because I was in the secretarial course in HS, but I would not be where I am today without his intervention.  Before he died, I did call him and thank him.

Anonymous. I remember Peter getting in trouble on a class trip and had to sit in the lobby.

Anonymous. I remember Kenny stealing a watermelon in Boston and running down the street.

Lucille Marangio.  Doing stage sets for the class play.
